I mean, I guess it depends on what you want - but I think you open yourself to a higher level of opportunity with most graduate degrees. With a Cisco or CFA certificate you'll get a job, but you limit yourself to a job in the respective fields. You can do just about anything with a MBA or JD though.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to hate on professional certificates - I think they're great if that is what you want to do. I just think that saying they're hands down more valuable than a graduate degree is kind of silly.
