I'm an atheist, too -- unless it turns out that maybe I am God -- I just don't judge what works for people and I don't demean religious people by questioning their sanity simply because they are religious. The problem with being a passive atheist (which I am) is that while we're being all passive, the zealot Christians have organized and are in the process of implanting political representation in our government. While their success has faltered recently, I don't see them throwing in the towel anytime soon.
