high level mage pet question
 

I just turned level 57, and got the new earth pet.

The whole root overwriting snare question aside, does
this pet do more dps than the 54 water pet?

57 earth
hits for 70
roots do 58 i think

54 water
hits for 56
110 DD
occasional backstab

Just don't know if the extra 14 per hit is > backstab and nuke

i used the water pet in groups, and earth soloing. the earth does a lil bit more damage, and surives much longer, but the unwanted roots make him pretty unusable in most group situations.

The water pet does more dps, if you get the constant backstabs, if not, earth does much more.

Position the water pet behind the mob.
