EQ live.
I've been playing on the p99 server for a few months now, not once did I have any issues installing, or setting it up. Today I decided to install EQ live, but I could not get past the patcher. Every time I tried to launch it I would get an error message saying it was unable to connect.
I have tried everything I could think of. Messed around with my wireless setting, I have a linksys router. Set up the proper ports listed on the eq knowledge base forum. I run both the patcher and the eq.exe as an administrator. Tried using only IE to do the downloads. Tried patching from outside of program files. The list goes on. What I'm wondering is if any others have had a similar issue. The only thing that has really changed since I last had EQ live installed, was the p99 stuff. I actually uninstalled all my p99 files, and it still did not work. Is there anyway that my IP address or wireless connection somehow got messed up after having installed p99? Thanks in advance for any information. Mollusc |

As mgellan said.
You should honestly be using a completely seperate folder for your EQEmuing and your EQLive-ing. Install Titanium or whichever edition you have, don't patch, then create a copy of that folder for your P99. Call it EQEmu or EQLite or whatever. Then go ahead and patch your EQ Live folder. Make sure you create a new shortcut from the EQEmu folder as per the Setup Guide and give it a distinct name. I'd also suggest using the EQEmuLauncher program. It's a huge help if you play on multiple Emu servers. |
