Contacting Rogean

My characters were all deleted two weeks ago and I've been trying to get a response. Posted in petition forum, contacted multiple devs, everyone tells me nothing can be done because it all rests in Rogean's hands. I've bumped my thread like 4 times now. Sent Rogean PMs in both IRC and on forums.

No response, not a "busy will talk later" or anything. Is this the norm for serious support requests here? I can understand that this is a free project with limited developers but is Rogean really so busy he can't even respond to say he's busy? His post history in the last couple days talking about how to pronounce his name or other various things kind of indicate he must have the time. If not to restore the characters at least to respond and let me know what's going on.

So, anyone have some tips for what to do when the only GM who can help you ignores you for 2 weeks straight and all your characters are gone?

How are all your characters just deleted? Did you do it yourself? did someone else do it, what?

Wouldn't that be funny if this person was just logging onto the wrong server?

I've only had one interaction with the staff, but it took a few days.

I think it's important to remember that the entire project is staffed by volunteers. They all have jobs and families and lives. The other thing I think is that some of these procedures are not at all automated, so the time investment can be significant to dig through the database to find out what happened and then to recreate whatever was deleted.

Finally, it probably doesn't help your cause to try to dictate etiquette and protocol to the only guy who can help you.

That's more than likely the case, have seen threads on that before.

My exgirlfriend came over to pick up the rest of her stuff that was at my house. She started a fight with me so I logged out of EQ and while I was in the other room she deleted all my characters and left. Apparently she was upset over me playing EQ with my new girlfriend because that's what we used to do together so this was her way of getting back at me.

I don't even know if my characters will be restored, if they can be restored, whatever.. and that's what makes this especially frustrating because I can't even get a response to my thread informing me of if the characters will ever be restored or if I'm sitting here chasing Rogean around just for him to tell me too bad in the end. I also worry that after a certain amount of time the characters won't be able to be restored either.

Like I said I don't mind if it takes a year to get my characters restored. I just hate that I can't get a response at all. I'm totally understanding of Rogean being busy or whatever but after 2 weeks it seems like I could at least get an update on him being too busy to help me or something. I left my thread alone for almost a week thinking someone would get around to answering and it seems more like it just scrolled off the front page and was forgotten. This is the first time I've complained at all.. in fact I've gone over the top to try not to be annoying, I only messaged every like 2-3 days and such.

Also, I'm not trying to dictate etiquette and protocol.. I'm just ranting in the rants forum.

The problem is you shouldn't get involved with women who play EverQuest. Especially not super hot women.. it should have been obvious she had serious mental issues when she was playing EQ of her own free will. My current girlfriend I had to talk into playing.. much better experience.
