Epic quest drops prior to patch, what happened to them?

Okay good one here. Ancient Cyclops would attack vendors and die all the time on live, same with SGs. He should also be immune to fire (couldn't Sunstrike him 100% confirmed).

The point I made was there is an entire list of items introduced into the game when epics are released, or probably should be noted somewhere.

A query should have been run to remove them.

I hope, Arzak, you consider red to be a little less "pure" by virtue of greed, laziness or contempt from the staff for attacking you and thusly allowing this to get in out of spite.
