Grouping to remove Pet Xp Penalty
So I will commonly group with someone hunting the Dino or the AC in OOT while I'm farming seafuries to get rid of the pet xp penalty. Does this work regardless of level difference? So say there is a druid quading bluegills in lake of ill omen and I'm a lowely lvl 16 by windmill using a pet. Does the pet xp go away? will I still get xp even tho the druid is many many lvls above me?

The druid will get exp and you won't get any xp because of the lvl gap(your lvl+half your lvl). It would be the same as if you were grouping in crushbone and had a lvl 5 in group. You would get exp on mobs that are light blue and above, but the lvl 5 would be like "wtf no exp!" ... now the space between I'm not sure of. If you were far enough away from someone in your party you wouldn't be sharing exp. I'm not sure if that would get you out of the pet xp penalty, but you could try. Seems like a lot of pet classes would just group with anyone randomly far enough away in a zone if this were the case and I don't see that so I'm gonna say it prolly can't be done. Someone else chime in??

They Nerfed the be in the same zone stuff a few patches ago. Doesn't work anymore. And yeah you would not get XP.

Noob here, what if a cleric and enchanter of the same level group up and use charm to plow through monsters? They'll be getting 'full xp'?

But when grouped do we still need to outdamage it or is grouping and being close enough to share the xp enough? We're running an enchanter-cleric duo, but if the cleric has to actually nuke, it might complicate things. Best to know this beforehand :D

You don't need to outdamage the pet if you are grouped and sharing XP.
