roots/snares not dispelling

have had several instances where root and snare stay on even after attempting to dispel them

no other buffs/debuffs were on me at the time

if you're going to have a resist system that promotes rootspam at least make it consistently dispellable

please describe exactly what you were smoking at the time

I've had this happen with dots during classic. No dispel spell or pumice would remove druid dots at times. Possibly related.

Tried 3 nullifies and couldn't remove a breath of ro one time recently.

I'm not sure if it's consistently broken or just bad variance but last 3 times I've had breath of ro land on top and wasn't able to dispell with cancel/nullify magic

Bamzal Sherbet 02-08-2013 01:10 PM

perhaps this has something to do with the bug that desyncs the clients version of the buff stack, and the servers version of the buff stack (Meaning the client shows Breath of Ro in top slot, but the server actually has it set being somewhere else in the stack).

I recall some nihi members discussing this and sounds like they could abuse i mean replicate the issue for u

If you click a buff off yourself and try to dispel afterwards, I think that breaks it.

Cwall 52.0 02-11-2013 07:40 AM

that's what i thought at one point, and then i tried replicating the bug with that idea but it dispelled the root normally

not really sure to be honest

Uh... yeah I don't think so Smedy.

I'm going to try clicking off a buff and see if I get dispelled successfully in PvE.

That should get da fix train rollin'.
