Hope for the classic UI

After Velious of course and all of its changes... after guild tags on the same line as player names...

But one day, presuming someone did the UI work and submmited it, would it be possible to force the classic UI much like how the spell file is required? I feel like it would be some how.

I know the classic character select screen is probably going to be impossible and I do miss it. I'm looking to inject some straight classic EQ into my veins here.

out of curiosity, got a pic of the classic char log in screen? I remember watching my friend play during classic era and i got the game in kunark, but that was a long time ago and I also played a bit ~6 years after launch on a progression server, still only with my kunark install CD aka i crashed if I clicked ont he PoK books, etc. but to the point, i can't recall what the classic char select looked like compared to what p99 uses. but a pic sure would be fun to see.

nice, have to say that does ring a bell ever so slightly.

If it was a possibility, then yes.

I am very familiar with the classic UI, and constantly look for ways to implement classic features.

That being said, Secrets is probably the world's leading expert. Here are some specifics. http://www.project1999.org/forums/showpost.php?p=461365

"there for immersion only"

Would be cool for thi purpose only to me personally. Classic* doesn't mean I have to force myself into an obstructive and unpleasing UI.

This thread probably needs to be moved to Technical Discussion.
