Main Chat Window Completely Gone
 

So my game blanked out to alt-tabbing (normal, not a biggie), but in the fluster for me to type /q I think I mightve goofed. Whenever my screen goes blank I can't end EQ process for some reason, doesn't allow me, even as admin. So while I'm staring at a blank window I type /q, brought me to login screen. I log back in and my main chat window is GONE, there's not even an x to exit out of that window, nor is there a command to bring it back up from looking at all the hotkeys. I even tried hitting ctrl+everything, alt+everything, shift+everything, nothing pops the window back into place.

A play told me to look at my eqclient.ini which I did to see if hidechatwin parameter is true or false, it's false which I assume is right? How the hell do I bring this thing back up? I have a chat window which I use for damage right now but it has an x on it and sometimes I accidently x it out and if I do that I'm left with no chat windows and no way to interact in game.

You could delete the UI data. It will load the default when you log back in.

The UI data is called:

yourcharacternamehere_project1999.ini
UI_yourcharacternamehere_project1999.ini

(easily found by searching your character name)

Rigjht click your secondary chat window,go to window -> new chat window.

that will open a new window - now just resize it the way u want it, place it where u want it, right click pn it again, go to window -> lock chat window. voila. A new main chat.

Then make sure to select in the same drop down menu "Always Chat here" other wise its annoying when you type and it shows up where you are not reading the chat. For me it is anyways.
