Client crashes whenever certain character is loaded
 

I zoned into EC from Nek and my game client froze up and gave me the "Not Responding" for however long I left it open. Now this toon is in the EC zone (according to the character screen) and the client will freeze whenever I try and play this toon. The game will load to where I can see the UI and screen, but will not respond and the client freezes up. The client never "unfroze" and this did not happen to any of my other characters. I'm not really sure where to start so I'm posting here hoping someone knows the proper first steps in solving this issue. Let me know if you need any more information =] .

What level is this character? What is your highest level character on the account?

13. Main is 24.

Have you ever received the "Error 1018 - Active character" error?

If yes, how often?

Regardless of that answer, I suggest re-installing the game.

This exact same thing happened to my relatively new account.

My friend was able to access my character from his computer.

After re-installing, I was able to access the character but was plagued with the 1018 error. It was clear my account was faulty.

I created a new account and have not had issues.

You may not have to create a new account if the re-install solves the issue.

Haven't gotten any errors, the client just does not respond. I've considered reinstalling, but I don't know about a whole new account of only one of my characters is having issues. All of my other characters can zone into EC just fine.

If you want to copy UI files before deleting your current copy:

The UI data is called:

yourcharacternamehere_project1999.ini
UI_yourcharacternamehere_project1999.ini

(easily found by searching your character names)

The zone might be down or very populated.

I can go into EC with my other characters, tried that already.

You've re-installed and are still having the issue?
