Poll: Does PvP Exp Loss REALLY deter PvP?
 

Been hearing this a lot lately from 'hides in Butcherblock 12 hours a day' Ecoli as the reason for the servers woes.

I think it's bullshit, but fuck me right?

What do you guys have to say about PvP exp loss? Have you ever decided NOT to fight someone because you might lose exp?

In general it doesnt. It definitely deters me in certain situations. On other servers I have no problem going against full groups, get a few YT, and maybe take a death myself every here and there. On this server, with no YT as a reward, and being an ogre sk that fucking hates xping, I will avoid the "potentially suicidal" pvp sometimes.

I can definitely see that as an Ogre.

Mostly what prevents me from suicide into a group of people would be the corpse camping and trash talking that would ensue.

On my enchanter I don't give a fuck because I can solo back the exp super fast, on my warrior in 60 you lose like a little over a blue, I can't solo, so now I need to find a group to grind back exp with. It's pretty awful for melee.

It was terrible. I fell down the stairs and my shoes fell off.

No one wants to have to set up groups to grind EXP in level 60 as a melee just to be able to PVP. Just my two cents.

I've always just looked at it as a consequence of dying.

Maybe because I'm a druid and EXP can come easy to me... but dying a couple times for a good day of PvP seems a worthy trade. IMO.
