You can still be polite while providing specific info. Send a tell like, "Hey, can you please pick me up from Misty and drop me off in WC for a donation?" Great. I reply, that I'm OMW, load up the spells and I'm there. You're just making it more convenient for the person you're requesting the service from.

Because you totally wouldn't just bitch that people spam you for tells for ports, instead of the individual asking kindly in a general channel if anyone is available.

If they tell me exactly what they want from me, and I want to provide it because I get paid and/or just want to help, then I don't consider that spam. I'd rather they just send me a tell, instead of actually spamming chat when no one is willing or able to port them.
