Setting up eq to run with a proxy/port address
Hi all
Now I work on a ship so I get lots of time to kill and would love to be able to kill this time by setting up p99 in my cabin. My problem is that I have to run the internet through a proxy address which i have entered into my firefox. I am in no way shape or form a computer genius but I was hoping that there was a way I could set up EQ:Project1999 with these proxy and port settings so I can play in away while im stuck at sea... Anyone know of a way I can do this?? |
All hands on deck!

HTTP and HTTPS proxies won't work for EQ. You'll probably need some sort of VPN. However, using a VPN may not be possible either. It depends on your network. Your best bet may be to ask one of your network-savey shipmates.

Me scurvey shipmates dont let much on as they try to keep all the bandwidth to themselves...
I'll research what the heck a VPN is and if possible I'll give it a go and let you know the outcome Cheers |
