Ubuntu Wine - Sometimes no servers, and character models not visible

Hi, I have two issues. I can start EQ with wine and can get to the server select screen, however sometimes it is blank with no servers to select from, other times it does have servers and I can connect to project 1999.

Also, when I do connect to the server I can see weapons and shields, but no characters.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Rudy

I'm not sure about the server select but the models can be fixed by turning these variables to false in the eqclient.ini file.

Excellent. Characters are now visible. Thanks! The server problem is inconvenient but it doesn't stop me from playing. I usually just need to log out and then log back in if the servers aren't showing.

Also, I have noticed that the sound effects work, but there is no music.

Anyone ever find a fix to the no servers issue? I'm currently running LInux Mint 10.4, and emulating with Wine 1.7.0. Everything works flawlessly when I connect to my router through a wired connection, but via Wireless, there is still no servers in the list. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If you're on a wireless connection it's sometimes a case of just going back to the login screen and trying again, and again... it'll come up. There's no substitute for an ethernet cable. :p
