Firepot Bug

So I found you can trigger a firepot with an eyeball, not sure how it's relevant/useful but that seems incorrect

You can also click on the pads in sky via an eyeball and get ported, again I'm not sure of the relevance.

You've always been able to open doors with eye of zomm, even locked doors if you have the key on your cursor. Makes sense that you'd be able to activate elevators and trigger other clickable things.

For quite a while on live (years and years) you could open locked doors with an eye of zomm even without a key.

edit: but how do you cast an eye in sky? I tried on my wizard the other day and got a "this spell doesn't work in this zone" message.

One of the later eye spells (eye of tallon or something) has always worked in sky on this server. Certain top guilds like to use it to pull certain mobs to certain isles they otherwise would not be able to pull them to.

stalking probes actually, tinkered

and even if people weren't using eyes they'd be using pets, TMO is really good at that strat

actually... lol

EDIT: I suppose this is bugs and I should say what I was going to say, you kinda need an eye and a pet. Doesn't work so well with just a pet.

arsenalpow 10-02-2012 09:20 AM

I was never really sure how y'all pull that off, I assumed you could bounce around with bind sight and a pet, but an eye and a pet makes sense too.

If I am not mistaken, eyes should work in airplane. If they don't, its a bug that needs to be addressed one way or another.

My memory from live is that eyes in airplane worked, but they also flew... like flymode ...not a bobbing levitate.

Research on.

Zeelot 10-04-2012 10:36 AM

Yeah, they definitely always worked in airplane. I used them there on live all the time. First time I was ever in sky in 2000 my guildmate showed how they float so I could use an eye to explore a bit. My memory of this is very vivid.
