Actually all assault rifles have semi-automatic mode. If they don't have select fire they aren't an assault rifle. They are a machine gun.

Same thing from the other direction. If it's not select, it's not assault. It just makes the idiots out there feel better about themselves to throw around terms they don't really understand.

The ones in dayz are accurate though, you can toggle full/semi auto. That noob probably just didn't know how to do it.

It pissed me off in Black Ops, for instance, when you run around the Bay of Pigs with a flat-top M16 sporting a red dot.
That's why I question the availability of military grade weapons in this game.
