is there something wrong with this AOE on red?

We've been in 4 fights with faydedar and 1 with nagafen, I've had 350+ fire resist for all the fights and I didnt get a single partial, nor did anyone else.

Is this tagged as unresistable or does it have a big resist minus?

In any case, this should be easily resistable by a 60 with more than 200 fr and right now it just isnt resisted at all. not even partials.

All the dragon aoe's should have a very very high resist check to pass.

That said, at 350 fire you should definitely be getting some partials and resists.

Going forward on that however, (EDIT!) people with under 160 poison should still be taking a Trak breaths HARDCORE.

Still taking trak breath with over 210pr on occasion. Working as intended.

yea I can resist the trak aoe with 350 pr, nagafens aoe? forget it

Also never resisted/partialed any of these in about 20 nagafen fight with ranges of FR 100-300 in classic.

As far as trak aoe goes -- it has a -150 resist adjust check. you need at least 300 to even think about resisting it.

I resisted ragefire's/faydedar's/naggy's aoes constantly in all the fights I've participated in on blue, so something was probably changed recently. Either that or you're horrendously unlucky.
edit: will it never resist at all, or did you just never get a partial resist? I assume the former but it's hard to tell from your post.

I have a feeling this Trak aoe here is making an envenomed bolt type check for resist and not a true dragon breath check.

Would need a dev to confirm by posting resist value for his poisoned breath.

Yeah it shows a -150 check in every case I have data. People are resisting it way too easy here.

Not to mention players will be taking a -5 level check on this even if they are level 60... this spell should be VERY hard to a non 60 to resist. <3 you Trakanon.

Here it seems like most poison breaths just bounce off people where in reality it should be much rarer and raid wide healing and curing should be rather hectic during the fight.


Right but what level are you? This should be taking a check as a lvl 65 target on a -150 calc... you should be getting regularly pounded by this if you're under 55.

I'm told players with as little as 120 are resisting this at lvl 60 pretty well. That is very wrong.

you're already starting at 205 pr with no gear and no bard song, its not that hard to get 300+

Trak breath hit me once or twice with over 400pr here. In general I'd say you are pretty safe at 60 with around 400.

Ive never seen a resist on naggys/fayd fire ae on red. With 300+ fr.
