client crash right after character selection.. since the new patch =(

Seems zone specific to Kurn's Tower for me. Other characters log in fine.

Pet classes are the ones crashing.

They're saying to delete both UI files attached to the character that crashes as a "fix".

related to the pet window being removed?

If that's the cause of the crash, you don't need to delete your entire UI files. Go to charname_project1999.ini and find the [Hotbuttons] section. Then delete the ones with the page/button combo that you had mapped to your pet window commands. I could be wrong, but I think the mapped values of the ones you want to delete are I1-I6.
