New player having trouble getting on
 

Hi ive heard about project 1999 a few years back when i returned to live EQ for a month or so to see how it was going. Needless to say its still dead. Anyway ive just downloaded eq titanium and am goin through the project 1999 guildebook. ive done everything so far upto this point

Step 3 - EQEmu Launcher
We have simplified our patching process to utilize a global launchpad for all EQEmulator servers. Please download the EQEmu Launcher.
Install this launcher to handle the EQHost Configuration and Installation of required play files for Project 1999.

It seems that the EQEmu Launcher is a broken link and am struggling to find a way to get it and get started. Is there other launchers i can use, and also i would expect i need an ip address etc for the server?
Ive never done this before so any help is most appreciated and thanks in advance.

u can skip the launcher, I've never used it the past 3 years.

you are incorrect mitic, they had changed the getting started guide to use the eqemulauncher a while ago, while you dont need it to play, they set it up so new players will go through the launcher instead of the old method of downloading the latest eqchanges rar file


anyway, i just checked out the link and it works fine for me

aha thats done it was my anti virus / web browser blocking without telling me. *slaps taskbar* think im ready to rumble hah this is gonna be epic

hmm ok now im having a problem on the login screen... what username and password am i supposed to be using on there? ive double clicked project 1999 and patched it i get into logon screen but none of my usernames and passwords seem to be working.. :confused:
