Duoing Necros?!?

Howdy everyone! My brother and I are getting back into the game and we were deciding what would be the most fun classes to duo. He suggested that we both role necro's and I decided to come here and ask what you guys thought because the idea sounded hilariously fun. Any feedback, pros cons or other suggested combinations is welcomed!

It's probably not THE MOST POWERFUL COMBO but you'd do pretty well; the only real issue would be dot stacking, or not stacking rather.

I'd go with shaman, it's boring and predictable, but about the most powerful combo. Druid would be good too if you wanted ports. Otherwise just make a ranger and consider him a sweet pet.

Thanks guys for the posts! I'm trying to understand how DoT's do / don't stack. Anyone want to chime in on that?

Only one line of DoTs can stack per mob. Example, two DoTs from separate necros won't stack, the higher level will always override

So having more than one necro on a raid mob is virtually useless?

No, because there's various utilities they can do. From raiding on live they would each do a different dot and/or DD (lifetaps, poison shock etc etc) as well as provide mana to clerics in need. Or other classes if it was something where enchanters had to keep mobs locked down etc.

Ok..... Would a mage be a better duo with a necro than another necro????

Kevynne 08-14-2012 02:06 AM

i would personally roll necro and shaman

Vicatin 08-14-2012 08:57 AM

Do not do 2 necs.

1-50 a nec and rogue would be nice
50+ nec and shaman.
