Necromancer Pet
 

Does anyone know what the level range for each Necro pet? Do you resummon until you get the highest level pet? I sometimes go through entire stacks of bone chips until I get the highest level pet possible.

Personally I thought it was +/- 1, at least thats how I thought I remembered it being in vanilla EQ. I saw someone else claiming that it ranges from (spell level) to (spell level + 4) on this server. I find that hard to believe, but I don't have a necro...

I can tell you that I clearly remember sitting in WK 1999 and burning stack after stack of chips. I even petitioned a GM claiming that my char was bugged because I couldn't get my max level pet after 2 stacks of chips. He probably got a chuckle out of that.

Until 24 i noticed all my pets were +/- 1 to me. I never did summon a yellow pet at 24 or an even con at 25 so do not know if that changed with this pet or just bad luck.

At least twice my best buddy necro has summoned a red pet to him @ level 8. We had no way to know how high it actually was though.

Edit: asked him and he stated "yes got some reds but doesn't seem to affect how good the pet is."

i dont think the higher lvl pets have more or less hp, but the higher lvl ones will hit harder more often, and miss less.

The other day when I was 30.... using the 29th level Summon Dead spell, I got a level 24 or less pet....
