Can anyone link to a discussion or provide insight on the debate? I suppose Iksar should be factored in realistically also.. what to do..

I know that Iksars can't wear plate, so that hurts them until Velious (which has a lot of Ikky high AC).

Besides that it is pretty much frontal stun immunity (Ogre) vs. regen.

I'd say grouping for the Ogre, soloing for the Troll. But really, they both are the shit.

I play a troll because I am a regen whore, and because I played one on live, but Ogres are awesome. The stun immunity makes some FD pulls easier for certain. It takes more planning to do somethings as a troll because you can't count on channeling every FD, but I like the challenge, and I feel like the regen is worth it.

Ogres look good, their weapons are scale a little larger as well (if you're into that kind of thing), and the frontal stun immunity is a great safety feature. Pump your AGI though. SK gear generally doesn't have any AGI on it, and if you are going to wear a fungi tunic, you better have 85 AGI without it, or your AC will take a big hit.

A meager 5% difference. It's like you're already up to your eyeballs in exp penalty, and you're worried that your brows are going to get wet.

Ogres get the coolest looking custom helms come velious, that's the tiebreaker!

Well documented fact that Iksars get the most tail.

Trolls definitely have the best looking custom helms
