Ok my girlfriend decided she would give eq another try but only if I twinked a char for her and she wants monk. I know pretty much what gear to get for most slots but not sure on best weapons.

TStaff
IFS/RFS

Can only really afford 1 set of weapons for her so need opinions please.

up to level 20: 2 Wu's Trance Sticks
20-40: IFS
40+: Adamantine/SOS

get a tstaff for 20+ and never look back

Yeah I sort of agree with the T Staff but if she does any Tanking it is too slow to hold agro well. I know it is not slow for a 2 hander but compared to some 1 handers it is.

Hence the endless problem with Melee weapons. I need 10 of them lol.

Some people say RFS is the best weapon 20-50, but i dont see why. Tstaff is a better ratio before damage bonuses. Once damage bonuses come into effect, I believe Tstaff is still better because 2 handers below 28 delay get less damage bonus. Even Peacebringer is probably better.

Other than level 1-10 your best 1hb combo is Ada/sos

If you're gonna be twinking 1-20 wont take long, might as well just get a tstaff and then never worry about buying another weapon again

This, but also get THIS for levels 1-10.

Just twink her with a tstaff then once she is higher you guys can work on getting her the Ada club/SOS combo for Max dps.
