New To `99
 

Mornings,

finaly I got a copy of EQ Titanium and was able to get it running on `99. So, here I am and it feels amazing after all these years.

I played EQ from the beginning in 1999 to somewhere after GoD came out. On Sullon Zek it was but lost fun after the servermerges of all the Zeks. Last year I started again on the live servers but somehow I wasnt happy with the "new" EQ style (not to mention ZEK is kinda dead on live imo).

Soooo, just wanted to say that there still new to `99 players around :D

Btw, Im from europe... any european guilds around on red ? Still not sure what class I will choose... guess this will have something to do if I find people (guild) to play with or hanging around solo 99% of the time and choose a soloable class (this isnt candyland like the WoW clones and everyone can solo from 1 to max in 2 days.. isnt it ? :cool:)

I don't know about Euro guilds, but choosing a soloable class is a good idea if you're not starting up here with a crew.

Welcome. Look for <Brotherhood>...afaik they are still taking new players.

As with the old Zek forums...especially the SZ Jihads...take what you see here with a grain of salt. I'll be reinstalling and rejoining the server soon, so when you see Karox online, shoot me a tell and I'll help you with what I can...a few plat and some portage maybe... :)

Hey man I just started out on Red99 as well (have been on Blue for about a week). Send me a tell in game if you wanna group, name is Happytrees. Currently level 5.

I was Kompakt an ogre tank in the european guild called "UMBRA".

Guess you didnt get much in touch with us when you are in an us timezone. Last thing we did was flagging up in PoP than most of the members quit and went to Vanguard or WoW.

Btw, playing druid here atm. Hit level 6 yesterday :D but still thinking of changing to bard or something.

I read something about changes to resists in the future ? will druid and wizard lures still be top in pvp or will it be like any class will have their spells hit nm if lure or not ? Any ideas ?

bards are supposed to be ridiculously hard to play but Wolfram is damn good...he'd prolly be willing to give you some advice.
