Question about item droprates
 

For rare/very rare items

1.) Is it purely /random based on the % of the drop rate from the loot table and
2.) Is there a maximum amount an item can drop on a 24 hour period?

Each mob has a few different loot tables with a certain percentage chance of items dropping. Like a common/rare one for a particular item, a chance of something like hill giant toes, a chance of fine steel, etc.

There's no cap, it's all RNG based.

Yeah, I think it is just based on a Random Nunber Generator.
