alt tabbing to irc is not a very good solution

I just keep it on a separate monitor or underneath my instance of EQ. I guess not everyone has a 40inch monitor.

Still, it's the best solution considering it seems unlikely that global OOC is on the way.

who alt tabs anymore? I just slide my mouse over. You all still playing on the same rigs as you did in 99?

(the actual issue is that not enough would use it, and it wouldnt be effective. needs to be an in-game solution)

Put it in the MOTD.

Use it or stop crying would be the only two options.

This should be stickied with the IRC info, which i gave up tryin to find after 10mins even though i would like to use it.
