Mac's Kilts

It is almost impossible to enter Mac's Kilts in Halas to do hand-ins to Cindl Have to repeatedly try to cross the threshold.

I don't understand the problem. Can you clarify this?

I realize this is an old thread, but i think its worth reopening since this problem still seems to be occurring (definitely for me!). Essentially, when trying to enter Mac's Kilts to get to Cindl, you can open the door, but then it is as if some invisible force field is stopping you from entering. I've been trying to get in for about five minutes, haven't been able to- (i'm a level 9 human SK). I think its also worth nothing that i've seen my brother's character (a barbarian shaman) enter the store with no problems.

Thanks for your time, love what you guys are doing, just trying to help-!

I experienced this too approximately 2 weeks ago...just like was said...like an invisible door...i kept backing up and trying again..finally got in

Hm. Now this one is interesting.
I've been working around this one since I started, figured it was just me, since no one else posted about it. Tonight, in an attempt to show what's happening, I went to the door, started up fraps, and walked into the door. I went RIGHT through it.
Fraps on (~60 fps), through the door.
Fraps off (~115 fps), invisible wall.

i was able to enter the shop using a method similar to mmiles; low fps and i can enter perfectly fine.

I went to examine this door. It looks fine in the database, which leads me to believe the FPS might indeed be an issue.

I use WinEQ2.0, which includes EQplaynice. Originally I installed it to help with disconnects while zoning. Maybe try wineq2.0 or eqplaynice, which should limit your FPS to 40.

Here is a video of me at the door in question, with eq running at 40fps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ay3jTvng_yo

Sorry to zombiefy an old thread, but my gnome is having this very same problem. Is there a way to force EQ to use lower FPS without installing any other software (like FRAPS), which I'd rather not do?

Edit, never mind, found something in options to decrease frame rates and it let me in :)

In a case like this you did the correct thing to actually search for a pre-existing post about the subject rather than starting a new thread. :D

And now the answer is in the original thread which keeps things nice and tidy!
