Just checking out project 1999
 

After trying out a progression server in normal EQ and being really disappointed by people (general attitudes and how fast they were unlocking things).


I have a few questions (and they may be silly)

1) Will there ever be a SoV expansion on this server?
2) Do people actually help out new players or will be goofy playing an ungeared warrior with a bunch of dps twinks?
3) Do the raid guilds poopsock? or mess with the raider lites?

1) yes (that's the plan at least)
2) yes and probably also yes but also no
3) yes

The people in game are extremely helpful.

People give pp, gear, buffs, and all other forms of help.

Hanes stock went up a few hundred points a couple months after p99 was released.

Alright next 2 silly questions....

4) I saw a nice population chart on this forum... why so few rangers? I played a ranger when I was 16 and loved it. I felt like a DPS/radar dish.

5) XP penalties in place?


Honestly raiding drama was probably the worst part of EQ. If I wanted to join a raid guild; I'm guessing they won't want anyone that doesn't play 40+ hours a week :(

There are a few different discussions about rangers running around on the forums, check the class area.

And yes, exp penalties are in place.

Heh you'll only want to raid if you enjoy either trying to be an e-bully or laughing at those who try

There's a reason why tmo is p99's big shame

I took a look at inglorious bastards recruitment post.. it didn't seem too bad. I tend to like to laugh at e-bullies.

Ahhhh I forgot that. I played a ranger pre luclin got my epic and everything... except it was my first mmo so I wasn't exactly caring about it in comparison to other classes.

I'm thinking wizard or enchanter right now.
