Old EQ player, thinking on what to roll but had some questions.

Hello,

My apologies but I had some questions that I had a difficult time finding on the website for project 1999.

First, what expansion is the project 1999 servers on? Kunark? Do we have any rough kind of ETA on Velious? Max level is 60?

Secondly I remember playing around 1999 as an Enchanter. I remember in the early days staring at a spell book and sitting to regen mana. Later you had to sit but not stare at a spell book. On this server, if I play a caster will I be staring at a spell book to regen mana?

Thirdly I started raiding in PoP, and would love to see the early day raids. (Plane of mischief, Veeshan's peak in particular) How is the raid scene here?

When I have a good idea what to expect, I can make a better decision on what to roll. Thanks for the replies!

Kunark. No. Yes.

No.

Please see the Rants & Flames section for a coherent, unbiased and rational discussion of current endgame raiding.

Expansion is kunark... No exact timeline for velious. Levels are 60 you don't have to look at a spell book and there are a few top tier guilds who already are able to raid veeshans peak

Kunark, and epics are available. Max level is 60 atm correct. You do not have to stare at the book to get mana. The raid scene is up for debate. Rather than having static spawns they have variances, so lets say its a 3 day respawn, there can be a +/- 48 hours on raid mobs. There are guilds that raid, infact quite a few, but poopsocketing is very common. What is poopsocking you ask? Due to the fact that spawntimes arent exact, raids will sit on the spawn point of mobs, and kill time hoping they get lucky and it spawns. There are two primary guilds that compete for most of the higher end tier of raids, and there are many other guilds that still do some of the lower stuff, and sneak kills in on some of the bigger stuff.

if you have any other questions drop me a PM and ill try to answer the best I can.

Welcome :) Have a good one.
