cant get to char select screen
 

Once i click "play everquest" from server select screen, the screen goes black, tries to load for like 5 seconds, then poofs back to station name/login screen. Never even gets to the loading screen. Have tried two separate accounts, restarted comp. I've been trying for 30 minutes.

I'm a tech noob, the only thing that has changed for me is that my computer just downloaded windows 7 service pack 1. Haven't been able to get this going since then. I assume I'm doing something wrong. Any advice?

looks like it may have been just a crap internet cnxn.

Also, apologies for not replying to the thread that already has this same topic on the front page, mods plz merge.
