So old I feel like a newbie again.
 

I heard about Project 1999 so I installed EQ for shits and giggles just to check it out. I feel so completely lost. I remember playing almost 12 years ago, but I can't even remember how to start quests. I'm sitting in Neriak looking at the guy I know starts the newbie armor/weapon quest for Shadowknights but I can't remember how to trigger it XD

Hm... I did that and he didn't say anything or give me a note or anything...

I know Project 1999 only goes up to Kunark (or Velious if the little tweaks I had to download are an indicator) but I am not sure if these quests existed at that time or if they came later. Could be why it's not working? :confused:

Also, exp seems so low. 1 blue for my first kill at level 1. That right?

Yes, and that's with a 25% exp bonus for the holidays. Classic EQ was brutal.

Also fyi hybrids get a -38% exp penalty, troll/ogre get -20%, if your an ogre/troll + SK Combo you level supa slow!

Halflings get +5% exp bonus, high elfs are like -5% I think or something, there is a list of all class bonuses.

hybrids is 40%, halflings get +10% , rogues get +9%, warriors get +5% or something

Hm... Then I suppose I should re-roll a Wood Elf Ranger like I did when I first got the game in '99 XD
