Merchant prices...
Is it true that merchant prices get better as you gain faction with them?
I've read in a few places on allah that it does (old posts). And I seem to remember something like this happening back then. Here's one example: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/q...03716979741048 Does this have something to do with merchant which sell at bad prices to everyone versus merchants who only sell to people who're not evil or disliked? That might explain it. |
there are some merchants that rip you off but that's afaik

It's not working completely flawlessly on emu, but the caps are at 113 charisma and amiable faction.
You'll see prices improve as you go up to 113 charisma and amiable faction, until you reach the best possible price that the vendor will give you. |
I did some testing earlier and it was working about 75% flawlessly, :)
but for real, i don't see any difference on any of the prices, regardless of CHA or faction |
I don't think merchant prices are 100% accurate regardless. For instance, i remember bat wings/wasp wings gathered in gfay sold for 1 silver if you had 100cha, 9 copper if you had 90-99, 8 copper if you had 80-89, etc. Here they'll sell for 1 silver even if your cha isn't at 100.

The problem is you are selling batwings to a vendor. Levi casters eat those wings up.
