Here's a post from some football forums I read about the DOW being up today:

Yeah, great. Central banks made it easier to borrow money despite the fact that the borrowers will probably not be in a good position to pay it back.

This means nothing and all it does is line the pockets of banks (some of which are up 6% today).

This is the scam that our financial system and the Fed and international banking systems run: create money out of thin air, buy up debt, put borrower into more debt, bet against the borrower, collect earnings.

Any of you who have not heard of Max Keiser should start listening. He'll explain in better detail how banks crash economies to make profit and how the Fed and American banks create money out of nowhere so they can pass it around to each other and gamble with it (then make more to replace it if they lose).

Politicians and banksters are rolling in cash; gambling and betting with it and printing more of it when they lose. They pay little to no taxes, buy up luxuries like it's their job, start wars to funnel money to military contractors and blow up the debt, THEN BLAME AMERICANS AND TELL THEM THEY'RE BEING FINANCIALLY IRRESPONSIBLE.

I mean, you cannot make this shit up.

By the way, this is the PRIMARY issue for OWS protesters. . It is this system that began this movement. This system, in which the government prints or takes tax payer money and gives it to banks at almost no interest, lets banks create complex, financial products and peddle them to Americans while they bet against them; this system where banks can defraud investors out of HUGE amounts of money, then simply settle by paying a fraction of the damages BACK to the government; this system that caused our financial collapse, gave money to banks to make sure they kept raking in profits (which they're doing now at record pace) and then TOLD AMERICANS TO GET READY FOR AUSTERITY AND EXPECT CUTS TO PROGRAMS INTO WHICH THEY F'ING PAID.

Those of you who rail against this financial terrorism but scoff at OWS are one of two things: stupid or dishonest. It'd be like someone agreeing that segregation should be repealed and blacks should be given equal rights, then insulting the civil rights movement in the same breath. It doesn't make sense and it proves you're not informed about OWS. Re-evaluate your position or continue to look stupid and impotent with childish insults about "hippies" and other, such non-sense; just a word of advice.

Alternatively, it could be that people agree with the OWS stance and share in the anger against financial problems and irresponsibility but refuse to support the methods that OWS chooses to employ to achieve it's goals.

Seriously... shut down ports, unlawfully camp out for months on end, shootings & rapes reported in the camps, blocking public roads and bridges, etc.

Also, this is a single tenant of OWS (primary or not) mixed with a tremendous number of reports varying wildly from redistribution to anti-capitalism and revolution. People need to resonate with this or they are stupid/dishonest? Get serious, this isn't as binary as you want to make it.

I walk past OWS morons every day for work. Some days I converse with them, some days I ignore them. I think OWS-San Jose is a little out of touch with the rest of the movement though. In the past two weeks I've been told...

-this is a revolution that won't be privatized
-the private sector has failed to create jobs; the responsibility is now the government's to provide employment
-the government is all bought and cannot be trusted; they should be like nascar and wear their sponsors
-capitalism is evil
-government is evil
-banks are evil
-the private sector is evil

Bunch of idiots need to get their story straight.
