Spells file issue.
 

Haven't played since before Kunark came out-

Just downloaded the updated files from the "getting started" thread and still an unable to connect due to "out of date spells files".

Any ideas?

use duxas installer or eqemulauncher ;)

It shouldn't be necessary, no. Just use the update option (#12) with Duxas' Installer which installs the EQemu Launcher.

When I go to use this and I select my server and click play it tells me my eqhost.txt does not seem to be patched, would I like to patch it? Will this do the patching of the game I am not wanting it to, or is this needed to play on project1999 server?

Right click your P99 shortcut on your desktop, hit Properties, and in the Target line make sure it looks like this with your "P99 eqgame.exe path" in quotes and the patchme bit afterwards (not in quotes):

I had the same problem. I've used Duxa's installer and EQuemu Launcher and still seeing the spells file is outdated. Anyone have any ideas? What am I doing wrong?

I am having the same problem..

My characters are not there either... I had no problem getting to the server select etc... But once Im in the character select I see the spells file is out dates message on the left etc..

Any additional help would be great thanks

Oh, do I have to start over? WOndering why my characters are missing, or is that due to the file problem?
