In the ashes of the blue server, Red has risen!
Sometimes whille still playing on blue awaiting red I think to myself... whats the point? I wonder how badly the hackers and supposed "corruption" damaged the server? 360 some people is a ton of people. Its not somethign to just shrug off. Sure accounts were "deleveled" and platinum removed, but how much of this was prolly already "embezzled" so to speak into other players accounts, into the economy, into services like rez's or tradeskills even? I played a bit on pvp servers. I wont lie like i was some heroic champion though, i killed a bit, i got killed a bit. The reason im hyped about the Red server is its a FRESH START. Something is relieving knowing no one has an unfair advantage over you, that no one is using 3rd party programs. I really hope its enforced and no second chances are given! I have talked to a few people who are leaving for red just for that reason. They either came late to server (like me) or are new and have heard bad things about blue. Im not saying the mechanics are bad, that the content is off, or anything like that the developers do a great job. It's just some of the things that have happened, multiple things, and descions made have lead to a slow and steady decline. To me Red is a chance to get this classic idea right. A fresh start. There has been a lot of work done to revise stuff since then that will be incorporated so it will be smoother then it was at blue release im sure. That being said, lets not ruin our fresh start. Im sure many people will be trying this server out. Lets not be griefers, or corpse campers, or hackers, or in reality just plain assholes. Lets enjoy this long endevoured expierence and not mess it up for ourselves. This may be the last chance EQ classic has, so lets thanks the devs by not ruining it within a few months!
