Melee in PVP vs Melee vs Mobs
 
Hm I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this. Usually when I pvp on my 50 Wizard and melee hit me it seems like they almost hit for max damage all the time or at least a very chance of hitting like 75-100% of their max damage.

I know I'm just a level 4 Wizard on this screenshot but has anyone else noticed something similar?

Here is a Lvl 4 Wizard hitting a Level 2 Cleric. Basically hit for 75-100% of max damage every hit until he died.

This is Level 4 Wizards vs a level 2 mob. It's basically always like this vs all mobs. Just hitting for the lowest amount or close to it all the time. Very rarely max hits (I know I'm just a Wizard with low str blabla) but still why would it be max damage everytime in PVP?

Piercing and Offensive are both 15ish (Had them maxed before I dinged)

Is it suppose to be like this?

Hmm? 6 is max damage for a 3 dmg weapon at that level I think.

EDIT: ohhh I see. That does seem pretty strange.

Pop on a full suit of cloth or rawhide on a lvl 2 and let us know how it goes.

No it is not supposed to be like this. That is why melee is broken. Its an emu issue from what I read but I dont see how it cant be tweaked by our expert dev guru team.

In the event I wasn't really hitting for max dmg or all the time, tons of misses, tons of low dmg. Same thing I noticed with melees hitting me.

I noticed at lvl 1 my druid box could pvp better than my rogue, and would hit for 8 consistently.

I don't really see how it matters, or why it happens - if a caster has a high hit % the only one who it might be too good for is perhaps a shaman with a 2hnder? I don't even know if this is how it is applied, but it really seems insignificant, and I can assure you as a rogue I wasn't spamming max hits, and I know for warriors the hit rate/dmg rate was causing some rage in vent ~ I imagine hybrids is even worse, but haven't tested it.

Main reason for this post was so someone would go test it. I'm curious to see the results. I just know that when I've had 50 monks beating on me it always felt like they hit for 75-100% of their damage non-stop.

Ok so according to your posts melee's hit too hard, nukes are too weak, and buff stripping clickies should remain rechargable.

And you're a WIZ, doesn't seem biased at all.

I was hitting people with a 10/22 weapon for 18-22 DMG with 140 STR.

Yeah melee is WAY OP Y"ALL.
