NPC Spectre movement speed, aggro

Back on live if I was lvl 34 or so, and I pulled one spectre in oasis, more than one came. I can currently single pull them which should not be the case.

Also, the spectres move at regular mob move speed. They should be considerably slower, but I don't know the exact numbers. They also may not be currectly proc'ing their stun, I haven't seen it in the few times I've been grazed by one. The effect was something like "a stream of cold water washes over you".

Also, on a lvl 60 character, I walked right up to a spectre and it didn't attack me. These would aggro you like skeletons or other undead if you got too close.

Fixed.

Need more information.

Please ensure that The 59 Necro Spectre pet spell Emissary of Thule is not affected by this change.

All pets should move at the same runspeed across the board.

I do not have sources, but I remember for a fact that the only Specs that casted their lifetap or the stun were the ones in OoT. Can anyone else collaborate with me on this?

I also second the slower runspeed; it was scarab-esque runspeed, perhaps 80-85% of normal mob runspeed.

Now that I think about it, some of them don't hit hard enough either. Specs were famous on live for having low HP, but hitting as hard as hill giants did. Currently, the lowest level specs seem to hit for 80. I remember 96 as being a max hit for both Hill Giants and Specs.

The level range, iirc, is 33-37. So, a 37 spectre should hit for 96.... a 36 for 94... 92... 90... 88. Either 88 or 90 should be the lowest hit.

I bug reported this, the specs in feerrott should also lifetap, but the specs in oasis should not. The specs in oasis were very commonly quad kited.

The specs in oasis tapped me all the time on live. I just know when I levi'd up to the island and hit one under say... lvl 44? Something around there, I'd get more than 1, usually like 4-5. Right now you can single pull all of them. At any level, well, maybe minus the ones in the tower heh.

Oh, if they're rooted I believe they should try to tap anyone nearby and should train on people... they did, but I'm not sure if its worth going out of your way to do something that can make people miserable :P.

Spectre in OOT says ' really hate Wizards like you'. Ones in oasis correctly state 'I really hate Wizards like you'. Minor but thought you might wanna know.

The lifetap on Oasis spectres was "stealth" nerfed sometime in 2003, so them doing it here is appropriate.

I don't recall any specs in Oasis other than the tower mobs aggroing together, but my memory may be a bit fuzzy on that. I DO remember Oasis specs lifetapping tho.

Here's some fun proof of just how "social" specters were in classic:

This is what I meant by the island should pull. Currently, this is not possible on red or blue and should be the case. This character, presumably 50 pulls the far right specter, the far left one comes. I cannot duplicate this on red or blue.

It was indeed possible to get 5 spectres if you pulled even just a single corner one as a lvl 36 or so.

Why does the text say "debug: ...." in the chat logs?
