Hide Helmet
 

Ever since Rogean turned off the ability to hide helmet I have hated the way my ogre looks. I was one of the rare people who loved the way the ogres look but I despise how messed up the helmets appear.

I am continuing to play the ogre but man I miss this feature. I know it's classic so it will not be reverted back. When did the hide helmet option go in, Velious? If the helmets looked nice like the dark elves I would like it but the ogre could do without seeing that ugly mess.

Post-Velious, won't be available on P99.

Thanks Mardur, I may go as far as gimping my stats in that slot with a helm that isn't visible. This is classic so I understand but ugh, I didn't see the harm in being able to hide your helm. Anyway since it's post Velious that blows.

Half Elves with a cap of the insubstantial are the ones most affected by this. Good god that cap is ugly.

I hate the dark elf helm! And the wood elf... don't even get me started...

I wish we could all turn them off if we want to. :)

Oooh, we can't turn off our helms anymore? It's a good thing I'm going gnome for my main.

try turning it off and on in the options, anyway, each time you zone or when you stay in a zone for a longer amount of time. or on and off..? or just off...

this made it appear to you, yourself, that you're not wearing it. and that's all that matters! Either that or it was a work around and took off the helm like before, and I just ruined it for everyone. I forget.

I'm so glad these devs have put in such hard work to bring us our beloved classic EQ, but sometimes I don't understand why they have to go so far. No option to hide helms is fine, no spell sets is sorta fine.. but the day I have to use classic or velious UI is the day I quit :P

wood elves look absolutely ridiculous with any head piece :(
