Druid Dots
 

I dont know where else to post this to get an answer. When did they change the druid dots to make them nolonger stack? Kinda defeats the purpose of playing a druid isnt it?

Looks like it's working as intended.


If that's all you can think of a druid being capable of, you're probably playing the wrong class.

Are you referring to with other druids or your own spell line?

Ex: Druid 1 and Druid 2 can't stack Swinging Swarm x 2.

or

Ex: Druid 1 can't stack Stinging Swarm AND Drones of Doom.


I know you can stack one fire line (Flame Lick/Immolate, etc) and one magic line (Stinging Swarm, Drones, etc). Later the epic dot stacks too I believe...correct me if I'm wrong.

There are multiple reasons to play a Druid besides dot stacking. You can stack as many as a Shaman but not as many as a Necro.


Edit: I see now. They just fixed a glitch and it bummed out some people.

The following Stack:

1 Winged Death
1 Stinging Swarm/Drones of Doom/Drifting Death
1 Fire DoT

Best DoT mix is Winged Death -> ES Vambraces / Velious Bracers -> Fire DoT

But yea, druids are far more than just a DoT machine.

A charmed pet with a couple daggers and savage spirit is way better than all your dots stacked together. And practically mana free!

By Velious, when I played a druid, Stinging Swarm would stack with Drones of Doom.

Yes it was part of the major tuning passes that occured during velious...

Hybrid penalty removed
Snare / Root stacking
etc.
etc.

But it doesn't happen until then.

Sorry to necro a thread but I was searching to find the answers I need instead of creating a new thread.

Is the above still correct? Charming aside I am leveling a druid now and want to know how our DoTs are currently working.
