I've seen these things on sale for thousands of gold - do you think it is possible for someone new to the server to get their hands on this item? I'm a level 16 enc atm will it be feasible for me to get them in future?

Yes, in the future.

you can camp them yourself when you're in the low 40s or just buy the multiquest. Make saving for a certain item a priority and you will be surprised how fast you wind up with something.

also, WoW works in gold. In EQ the term you're looking for is "plat". Welcome to the server.

On the classic PVP can we obtain JBoots the same way?
