How do you avoid getting ganked by mages?
 

Not gonna QQ, but I am just curious how you people are leveling, I have been level 6 forever, getting mowed over by the same duos, trios of mages; gnomes and high elves.

Perhaps it's a bit hard since at this level people are still able to summon yellow pets that keep you perma-rooted.

Is this just a hump kinda thing I gotta get over? Do I have to bring friends from Blue? Will mages be able to kill me so easily forever? If so, why doesn't everybody just make a mage.

I'm a rogue, and I really want to play a rogue, but I just get raped every time I am killing mobs, it just sucks a bit that I haven't had the opportunity to get high enough to even train backstab, LOL.

I understand that it's a PVP server, and I am still enjoying myself, despite these setbacks.

I'm a rogue too man, you just gotta roll with friends. Use your sneak/hide(if they don't have invis) and just play conservative until you get stronger. Despite the rogue bashing that goes on, when we get poisons you can slice and dice casters.

grouping is your best option
and zone awareness. if they are in your xp area sneak off somewhere else what city are u in btw?

mage gank squads are brutal, especially since this is a beta and everyone wants to just fuck around. find friends, find an obscure spot to grind, or learn to enjoy getting fucked in the ass with no reacharound, those are the only options you have.

Kelethin! This place is full of gnomes who will kill you then brag about spells they bought with the gold on your corpse.

i've found that pretty generally gnomes are pks. it seems like every gnome has the same idea to grind elves in gfay for money to buy spells

im a wizard and let me tell you in a 1 on 1 mage is dying

he uses his root pet to keep me there , but im not running

he nukes for nominal dmg i nuke for truckloads

after 1 nuke he tries to run , and does not make it

I've paid for all of my spells by shitcocking wudan and their terrible gnome "ganksquad" in kelethin.

I'd like to thank "Cozmonaut" for personally supplying me with upwards of 2pp alone and many QQs for hours in ooc.

Be extra friendly, and apologize to your attackers when you don't need to.
/plead before you get attacked always works
You will gain respect.

Begging for mercy, and spamming /y (yell for help) is also very helpful to survive as a rogue.

P.S. Just surrender your plats and loot to avoid getting pwnt initially, and tell some funny jokes, and surely you will have friends, and be left alone.

Well seeing as how you can level and do all you need to in the Akanon area you know what gnomes who come to Gfay are looking to do.
