Intermittent connection problems only while playing EQ
 

Since building a new computer a few weeks ago my cable modem has developed a strange habit of losing its Status light for a period of 20-30 seconds at a time, leaving me without internet access temporarily - more precisely, it stays off long enough for the EQ connection status to drop down to 80, then it resumes normal function. The odd thing is I have only seen it happen while playing EQ. Haven't had any interruptions playing on my 360, playing LoL, or general web-using. Does it sometimes every 15 minutes, sometimes once every couple of hours.


It's a D-Link DCM-202 so it's fairly old, router is a newish Netgear WNR2000v2, networking adapter is built-in to an ASRock Extreme4 motherboard. Using AVG Free with Windows Firewall turned off.

This has caused a few pointless deaths and general headache and I wanted to check for other possibilities before I go buying a new modem or calling up Comcast (I haven't had problems like this with them before).

Last night had some issues with big lag spikes finally got DC, Tried for over a hour to reconnect and was unable to, Those that I was grouped with I am sorry, Nothing I could do i rebooted my pc and internet and was connecting to all websites fine. When i tried to connect to the game it would not connect.
