While I haven't tested it myself someone mentioned that this mob is an 8 hour spawn here. He was a 6 hour spawn on live.

Many people stated anywhere from 5.5 to 6 hours spawn time.

Could you link the other threads you found on P99 forums, for reference sake?

I've camped him a few times, he's on a six hour spawn, he dropped the earring two out of four spawns.
