is it possible to map mouse 3,4,5 to work?

I have a logitech MX518 gaming mouse, it has 2 thumb buttons and clicky wheel button.

I cannot for the life of me get them to work with P1999 client. I've tried assigning them as "generic button" in Setpoint, I've tried setting them to keystrokes too and they still don't work.

My intarwebs searches are coming up null too.

Anyone know how to get these buttons to work?

Sorry for rezzing this thread from the dead, but I've got exact same question and wasn't able to find the answer. I've got a Logitech gaming mouse with tons of extra buttons that I'd love to bind to certain hotkeys. Is this possible in p1999 or not? Thanks.

It's the mouse you would have to re-program. If you google, you can find instructions. You would have to tell your mouse that the first thumb button = *another key on your keyboard*. Let's just say the delete button for this example. Then you go into your EQ options and the tab where you assign Keys and pick which game function you want attached to the thumb button and assign it to the delete key. So now, your delete key AND your thumb button would perform the action. Be aware of what other game function is already attached to delete, as you may want to change that.

Ahhh, I hadn't thought of doing that. Thanks for the idea.
