3D EQ

With the advent of 3D technology, can we play EQ (p99) in 3D? I know there are kits you can get and Nvidia graphics cards to be able to watch and play videos, movies and games in 3D using shutter glasses. Some companies are making 3D computers and laptops. Is there a free software out there that would convert games into 3D using the colored glasses?

i already feel a headache coming on thinking about what a 3d eq must be like lol :P

I'm not gonna lie I'm not really all about this 3D technology and game consoles like the Wii. Would rather just sit on my bum and use a controller.

Ok my prayers have been answered. How to play EQ in 3D (or any other pc game for that matter). Its not the polarized 3D, but it is 3D with anagraph, cyan/red glasses and free or at very low cost.

Free software at www.iz3d.com

Watch this youtube video on how to do it, real easy to understand.

All you need is the cyan/red glasses (cheap paper ones work just fine), some places you can get them for free other places might have them for sell.

I am curious how this will look. Do you need a 3D tv or monitor for this to work? or just the software and the old school 3D glasses? I currently play thru a 32" lcd that is not 3D ready.

nope, only need the free software and the old school 3D glasses.
I am using an old Dell flat screen monitor myself

Oh by the way this is Roehan <Freedom Guard>

I have to tell you, the Skeletons look freaking awesome in 3D, as well as the other mobs of course.

The parts for my new rig arrived last Thursday.

I got a pair of gtx 560s, a 120hz monitor, and and an Nvidia 3D vision kit.

My friend has a similar setup and decided to spend the cash because of my time spent on his computer.

There's no doubt to me that 3D gaming **IS** the future of gaming. I believe the next generation of consoles will basically all be 3D-ready.

Crysis 2 looks ***STUNNING*** in 3D. It's the most 3D optimized game I've tried yet and this shows. The game is so well optimized or 3D that I can comfortably play it on maximum "depth" settings.

The only way I can really describe it is to say that instead of looking at a computer monitor, I feel like I'm looking out of a window -- the depth of field is truly astonishing.
