In the market for a headset

What do you use? Why do you like it? Will primarily be for gaming. I don't generally use headphones of any sort when listening to music at my computer.

I usually wear my glasses when I'm at my computer, aaaand the last headset I bought (before it broked) was extremely uncomfortable when I had my glasses on.

I don't want anything super huge either. I don't need to look like I'm trying to communicate with aliens or anything. The last one I had was wireless and awesome. I'd be pleased to own another wireless one, but it's not a necessity.

Suggestions?

OH ALSO, since this is a suggestion thread.

PS3 vs. Xbox 360?

Also in the market for one of those. Because my Wii quit reading discs and it's a piece of shit system anyway.

So you don't have enough money for food, so you use food stamps, yet you can find the cash to buy a new headset and new gaming system? Whatever...

I'd say PS3 vs XBox since it can be used as more than a gaming system. I use mine for NetFlix, media player, blue ray etc...and my kids still love the games.

My financial situation has pretty dramatically changed over the past three days. Thanks, government! I'll probs be getting off foodstamps soon.

Netflix is what I've primarily used my Wii for. Plus a few miscellaneous games and stuff when it was still reading discs.

Most people have voted PS3 but I haven't heard any substantial reasoning.

Then "YAY!" - proud of you that your financial situation has changed! Was not trying to sound bashing earlier...guess it's my fatherly instinct cause I tell my kids the same thing. Do you really need it., or simply want it, and do you have the cash type stuff.

Go PS3 then. Most Xbox exclusive games you can play on a PC anyhow. Ps3 you can't. Plus it can be a blue ray player, media server, netflix, hulu, etc...and the community it pretty cool. I will say that Xbox has a more active gaming on line community though...at least thats what my brother in law says. Course he has both - the bastard!

I would say PS3. Their online is free even though its not as good as xbox. As far as a headset goes you should prob buy one of these

ps3 free internet, xbox more community online, and most of the games they get are similar so i would just get an xbox, they got better players than the usual spanish or asian kid i see on playstation network. as for the headset, get a razer headset.

Love the tags. Always interested in seeing the tags.

But yea. I use ps3 for free online gaming.
Xbox has a better community. And since you love community. Xbox might be better for you.
If you don't own a blueray already. That's a good selling point of ps3.
The ps3 "move" sucks tons vs the xbox kinect for dancing games that all the cool "kids love"

every headset I have ever had (like maybe 3) has broken so just get a cheapo. also ipod earbuds I have gone through like 9000 of those

skull candy headphones are the best and have a good warranty, and then just duct tape a mr. microphone to the front of your chin imo

Shannacore 08-11-2011 01:48 PM

The built in mic in my computer works really well, from what people have told me. Maybe I should just invest in a nice pair of headphones..? They'd be useful when I'm stuck in studio on campus all day long too.

I had an xbox. Got red ring'd. Leaning towards PS3 because of this.
