255 dex with starting Monk

I did a 255 dex warrior from start to 60 with buyable dropable items. It was a bit of fun with the procs, crits and crippling blows.

Had fun with the Doljonijiarnimorinar from level 1 until I got to enjoy many other procing weapons.

I am now moving on to the 255 dex monk from start and like so many others before me I am utilizing dual Velium Crystal Staffs.

Later I plan to move on to the Baton of Royal Stature and an Adamantite Club

And then later the Tranquil Staff

Looking forward to it all again. :)

You’re a silly sausage! Grats on the warrior, have fun on the monk. That Tstaff will be delicious with always capped procs!! Have you any tricks to boost your strength a little further too? Perhaps a click, potion or proc? Do you think a moderate str value may become an issue later on?

I know you're not doing this to min max but a monk posted his parses last year and AC/BORS ranked a bit lower than tstaff.

Since they all proc @~50 you might want to go straight for tstaff but DW stun sticks sounds fun.

if you're sacrificing strength for this...why

For easy things to get from Level 1 and on...

Sadly outside of something like Mask of War before the fight not really.

LoL and corpsing a Shaded Torch

While strength is great I really want to see the procs for now.
Sharp damage at low level from a proc feels more invigorating and pushes me to play the character more.

...but at higher levels DEX and STR can really be ignored with a Shaman babysitter from the guild.

You are correct about the T-Staff and DW stuns but I have always wanted to experience this for myself.

I can't wait!

I have visited that thread many times in great interest.

While Max damage has been done to death I figured max procing chance would keep me attached to playing the character.

Additionally procs aren't controlled by max damage due to level.

You are right at 50-51 it all becomes moot with a babysitting Shaman buffing from time to time. Hate you can't apply those same high level shaman buffs at level 1.

But yes STR and HP is the end goal of any sane monk. :D

The real question is can you do it with a fungi tunic on? Because that'd be so much better.

You can't unless you consider some really high ticket items like White Dragon Helm but it also doesn't mean you can't swap it in from time to time on the way to the next mob.

I think this will be fun. Also +20 dex isn't a complete waste on a monk even at the minmax endgame.

Def. worth to use a fungi over maxing dex at all costs.

I'd also suggest the snare weapon because honestly it's annoying as fuck with runners. I tried the root shovel but it keeps mobs attacking you for longer and it's not as reliable due to shorter duration.
