I am not sure if the wiki information is correct, but I think the drop rates are incorrect or broken.

I have killed 6 orcs, and every single one has had a pouch. None of them have had a note

A newer poster indicates that both are variable drops. I have killed the BBM one once, same deal, pouch, no note.

Perhaps I've been "lucky" with the pouch and "unlucky" with the note.

It can drop both the pouch and the letter. Letter is more rare.
