Necro spells malfunction....
Cascading Darkness when hit does 48damage a tic
Mix with Bond of Death bond of death does 53damage a tic BUT if cascading darkness wears off bond of death jumps to 80 damage a tic, and vice versa cascading darkness does 72damage a tic. But casting them not together they are the lower damage a tic. I've been gone a month but I cannot find anything to figure out whats wrong? Any clues? |
side note, I noticed when Cascading darkness is doing 48damage a tic and I Feign Death it jumps up to 72 while im FD....weird...

When moving a mob only takes 66% of it's total damage from a DoT. If I'm not mistaken the DoT does last a little extra longer but this is classic behavior. 72*0.66 = 48. 80 *0.66 = 53. When you're FDd the mob stops moving and therefore takes full damage. If, however, you're saying a mob, while moving takes these reduced damages ONLY when combined, then yes there is a problem. Otherwise it's working as intended.

yes while moving this is when the changes are taking effect, also noticing like what you said then stopping they also take more damage.

Then, unfortunately, everything is working right. Here's a tip, though: if you fear kite the mobs will take full damage from DoTs (also if you use a pet to tank).
